Which credit cards do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, Discover/Novus and American Express cards are accepted, as well as debit cards which bear the Visa or Master card logo. We also have a convenient lay-away plan. [return to top]

Can I cancel my order?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the bridal business, all sales are final. Once you select your gown and place a deposit on the merchandise, you are asked to sign a purchase agreement. The purchase agreement stipulates that all sales are final and that no cancellations can be made after the deposit is paid. All special order merchandise must be paid for within 30 days after arrival in the store.

How long does it take to get my gown after I order it?
All special orders for gowns are placed as soon as possible after the deposit is paid. Generally, all bridal gowns will have an estimated shipping date of 4-6 months. Bridesmaid dresses as well as mothers dresses and flower girl dresses are typically 8-10 week delivery. We do offer some bridesmaid dresses with RUSH delivery dates. These dresses usually will have a RUSH surcharge on them and will arrive in 4-6 weeks. Some companies also offer RUSH wedding gowns; these also have a small surcharge for the RUSH service.

Can I return an item that I just don't want?
Because so much of the bridal merchandise is SPECIAL ORDER, no refunds or exchanges can be offered on special order merchandise. Merchandise [except gowns, dresses and veils] purchased from current stock, may be exchanged within three business days from original purchase date. Please keep your receipt, because we offer no cash refunds, in-store credit will be allowed.

What happens if the item I ordered is not available?
If the manufacturer cannot provide the merchandise in a timely manner, or in time for your wedding, there will be a complete refund of your deposit. You may decide to purchase the item from the existing stock in the store. Usually 'in stock' purchases are offered at a discount.

Do I need an appointment to try on gowns?
For the best possible service, it is always a good idea to telephone the store and setup an appointment. We strongly encourage appointments on Saturdays as well as the very busy seasons of the year which are January through March.

Do you have bridesmaid dresses?
As Salem's only full-service bridal boutique, we offer bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, tuxedo rentals, veils, jewelry, shoes, gloves and many other items that you may not find in other stores. We also offer special pricing on bridesmaid dresses if you have purchased your qualifying bridal gown and headpiece from The Bridal Gallery.

Do you carry bridal gowns in larger sizes?
Yes! At The Bridal Gallery we try to offer the best in styling for every bride. We carry dresses designed especially in women's sizing. Most of our bridal companies also make their gowns up to a size 32.


Why does my dress have to be altered if you took my measurements?
The measurements are taken to order a standard sized dress which most closely will fit your body. The bridal industry makes it's dresses from a standard pattern and your body measurements are compared to that size chart. Normally, the dress will be ordered based on the size which is the closest match to your measurements. It will not be an exact fit and you will need to have adjustments made to fit the dress to your body. [return to top]

Do bridal gowns ever go on sale?
Yes! We have ongoing sample sales on selected stock gowns.  We also have two sample sales offsite in conjunction with the Oregon Wedding Showcase during October, as well as a huge store clearance sale each fall to make room for the incoming Spring merchandise.  Check our website and our facebook pages frequently to stay abreast of current specials and sale events!
